Volunteer Positions

 

Hospice Palliative Care Friendly One-2-One Volunteers– provide support to clients and their caregivers impacted by a life threatening or terminal illness. Offers support and social interaction to an isolated individual through regular friendly visits at the client’s home or out in the community.

"SMART" Seniors Maintaining Active Roles Together ®

In-Home Seniors Fitness Program Volunteer – provide regular visits to potentially frail, homebound seniors, assisting with a gentle exercise program and helping to relieve client’s feelings of social isolation

Group Seniors Fitness Program Volunteer – lead a class of up to 15 clients in a gentle fitness program that spans over the course of 15 weeks.

This program is funded by the HNHB Local Health Integration Network



Foot Care Clinic Volunteer – greeting clients and assisting with administration functions of the program.
