Aberdeen Health and Community Services’ Visiting Nurses provide expert and compassionate nursing services to patients in BrantCounty. Whether a nurse is needed to dress the wound of a patient who has just returned home from the hospital after surgery, or perhaps to treat a cancer patient who needs pain medication regulation, our Nurses will provide skilled and gentle care.
Aberdeen Nurses also provide care to pregnant women who have prenatal or medically-related complications, new mothers, and babies and children up to 18 years of age.
|
Children with special needs also benefit from having visiting nurses. By visiting children in their homes and/or schools, Aberdeen Health and Community Services is able to play a keen role in helping children maintain a level of normalcy in their lives.

Each year, many patients throughout the Brant area are discharged from hospitals with wounds or ulcers that have not completely healed or with new ostomies that will change the patients' lives.
In some cases, even after months of care, the wounds are slow to heal. In other cases, patients need education on how to manage the wound care of their ostomy so they can continue with their daily lives.
Aberdeen Health and Community Services is proud to offer our communities a fully trained enterostomal therapist. Our therapist has gone through extensive training to be qualified as a specialist in wound and ostomy care.
Our Enterostomal Therapist helps increase patient outcomes by
|
- Utilizing state-of-the-art treatments
- Employing pain management techniques
- Teaching you and/or your family how to care for your wound/osotomy
